Hi everyone, today our development team gave us the good news that User Base System is up and running. Well, the first thing that some of you guys might want to know would be, Why is there a User base system? Well, I will try to answer that question with some benefits given below.
The traffic on our website is basically of two types:
The first type of the users are the ones which submit their tutorial links onto our website. These users can analyze the response from the public which they received by watching the statistics in their dashboard. These statistics can provide them with information like: total views, number of (pending, approved or declined) tutorials, number of tutorials reported broken, how many where bookmarked by others and some other stuff of this sort. They can also manage (edit) their previously submitted tutorials in case the URL has changed or the avatar needs some tweaking.
The second type of users are those which want some help or want to learn something new. The benefit they get if they become a user is bookmarks. A user can bookmark a tutorial if he/she finds it useful. These bookmarks can be later on accessed from his/her dashboard. We also intend to include some more features in the future as the website evolves.
Furthermore, behind each user, there is a profile attached. These profiles will show their benefits as soon as people start using them. The users which will submit high quality tutorials will gain more and more trust and ultimately get the bigger share of traffic on to their websites. Also that, as the website evolved, more and more features will be introduced and these profiles will play a key role in them.
Anyways, I Hope you got the general idea behind this whole system.
